FIT Me Foundation from Maybelline

I have been dying to try Maybeline's FIT me foundation for months now after seeing it advertised everywhere and I finally managed to get my hands on it. I had to swatch my colour for a while but finally worked out that I was 120 classic ivory. One thing I love about this foundation is that like a Mac/Nars foundation it comes in a wide range of shades with undertone colouring in mind so it can accommodate to both those with pink and yellow colouration. I would be very surprised if you were to try this foundation and not get a good colour match since the shading range is so diverse. Before my first use I had a look about online and read what others thought of the product, and I was shocked to see mostly negative reviews! Had I just wasted my £7.99? Well being me, I am never one to make a judgement based on what others think so I tried it out and it didn't let me down.

Motel Robyn In Gothic Placement

So as some of you may know next month is a pretty big month for me, along with UCAS applications and  open days at london universities it will also be my 18th Birthday! Yes you read right, I will be officially legal to do everything from buying alcohol to kitchen knifes to voting in the general elections (the politics student side of me is far too excited for this, not going to lie). Unfortunately for the first time in my 17 years of life, my Birthday falls during term time rather than the usual October half term holidays which means making plans were rather more difficult than I first planned but now I have sorted it all out. On Thursday the 25th my actual Birthday I will be going to college, attending parents evening and then go for a lovely meal with my family. Then on the Saturday I will be out and about in Leeds making the most of my own ID and enjoying the halloween activities that will be on offer that weekend. But I'm possibly most excited for the Friday night. I have rented out a local venue and I'm having a party with all my loved ones and of course this required a new dress!

Festival Fashion Look-Book

I promised I would do this post but I never really got around to it, but as I was packing my leeds festival bag today I was swamped with more asks on tumblr begging me for this post so here it is. Enjoy my selection of festival styles that I think looks super cute for the festival. And remember festivals are a great time to experiment with fashion, so maybe take a leap of faith and try out a look you wouldn't normally.

Boho Beauty
crochet top | acid wash shorts | stud bracelet | dream catcher earrings - topshop | faux snake purse | braided belt - primark |riding boot wellies - hunters

This outfit is inspired by the easy living style of festivals, think Nicole Richie at Ccoachella. Gold jewelry and feathers really help give this look a little something more exciting than especially in white! The butterfly sleeves also really add to the hippie look. Dream catcher earrings give the outfit a native american vibe while adding a little umph to a casual chic. Think free love and peace head to toe. Top off the look by matching your outfit with beachy waves to get that boho chic look down to a T.

Virgins and Veterans; A Leeds' Festival Check List

Due to the nature of my residence, I am of the lucky people who reside in the village that hosts the amazing festival that is Leeds' Festival. And because of this I have been to the festival every single year since 2009, however my mum was not silly enough to let me camp then but I have camped for the last two years, making this my third. For anybody wondering my favorite place to camp is yellow campsite, I always feel it's the safest and it is known to be the nicest plus we have the best campsite DJ going, most who are fellow Leeds' residents so what's not to love. Because I live so close to the festival I know exactly what's happening right now in terms of the festival coming together so for your update (which is sure to make you very excited) right now I know that the tents/stages are in process of being put up, the campsites and marked, fenced and flagposted and all the road signs are taking over the idellyic country side and main stage is in the first stages of being built! I personally have ready started collecting my much needed items for the festival but I know for all you Leeds virgins that this process can be a little daunting. You may be stressing on what you need so that's exactly what this post is all about, well that and what you don't need and what I seriously suggest you consider taking with you as well.

*Although this list is customised to Leeds' festival, it is similar to any other festival although you should check with your festival on limitations on certain items like gazebos and BBQ's.*

Two of a Kind; Olsen Appreciation

The 14 of June is a special day, why you ask? because it was the day this earth was blessed with the incredible Olsen twins; Mary-Kate and Ashley. This year they are celebrating their 26th Birthday which makes it exactly 26 years they have been inspiring the people of the world. I adore these two girls. Everything about them from their I couldn't care less, I'll wear what I want fashion to their old movies (When in Rome was always my favourite) to their outlook on life which I learnt through reading their bio; Influence a million times. They have been such a massive influence on my personal style as well as high(street) fashion.

Fly The Nest

Feathers are always the perfect summer accessory to give any outfit that boho vibe or spice up any festival look book. This summer, the feather hair extension trend is one of young Hollywoods hottest beauty favorites everyone from Ke$ha in her favourite bird stylings to the numerous starlets who dawned the look at coachella to the queen of the single ladies Beyonce. With  every trendsetter and their following buying into this trend I think it's time we style steal and join the look. I know I'll be rocking it come Leeds Festival.

Benefit's High Beam

If you know me or have even just seen a photo of me then you'll know how important cheekbones are too my look, the amount of time I spend contouring to achieve good cheek bones is silly. I wish I was bless with extremely strong cheekbones but sadly this isn't the case, damn you chipmunk cheeks.  Sadly theres nothing you can do about that is there... wait is there? Well in this day and age of course there is and it comes from the wonder workers at Benefit. You may have heard of this miracle product, that I and many others swear by called well High Beam!

TEAM BEACH BODY BEAUTIES!

It's that time of year again, summer or better known as bikini, holiday and festival season and I'm sure you, like me, want a hot summer bod. I started dieting hard and hitting the gym daily because even though I do not let my weight define who I am, I am in not extremely happy with my body at the moment and I personally do not feel ready to do the bikini walk to the pool just yet. But with exams and revision taking over my life my diet and fitness routine slowly disappeared but with less than a month to go before my vacation, I'm getting back on track! My room is covered in models so I have all the thinspo I will ever need but I am doing this for myself, nobody else. I think the most important thing about weight loss is that you do it for you, not to conform to somebody else's idea of what beauty is. I'm doing this just to give me that confidence I need/want in summer, the confidence to wear short shorts and a bikini without feeling like a whale plus I like how much more lively I feel when I'm slightly skinner. I don't count myself as fat, I'm a 8 on my top (or six deepening on the style) and either a 8/10 on bottoms due to my Kim K wannabe butt, but I'd just like to be back to full single digits for the summer just to feel comfortable you know. So from now on my healthy eating and home work outs plus gym time starts! Here's some thinspiration just to kick start your desire to read on.

Revision Relief

So it's that dreaded time of we all must face, yes today I'm procrastinating from my revision with a revision based blog. I am pretty ill at the moment so I've been bed bound for the last couple of days resulting in a hella lot of revision (pitty me) but I tried lots of useful little things to keep me on task and hopefully will help me pass my exams come next week. These are my top six hints and tips to be used when revising for exams and pre-exams so hopefully come the end of these horrid few weeks we will all be alive, merry and most likely drunk.
