Budget Beauty Summer Buys

In the summer months while we opt for lighter coverage foundation, darker coloured skin and that  perfect tousled hair to achieve beach babe status we must remember summer can really take a hit on our beauty regimens. You get oily and sweaty, and if you don't work at it, you can end up looking a little bit of a sweaty mess. Trust me I've been there, humidity is public enemy numero uno. My hair gets super oily, my skin super dry then too far the other way, and rather than a looking beach babe I end up looking more like Babe the pig. So for me, these are just a few products for hair and skincare that I can't bare to be without lately. They've been my little saviours in this burst of sun, and stickiness that has hit here in the UK and thank goodness for them because now I'm concering this sunshine like a little pro.

Zara Black Amber/Femme Eau De Toilette Duo

Previously on my blog I raved about Zara's amazing perfume duo, you can read it here and to this day it's one of my most popular posts. I can totally get why I mean two amazing perfumes for less than what you'd normally pay for one... you can't complain! Now while I'm still obsessed with the Fruity and Oriental there's another duo which I'm just in love with! Plus did I mention it's £12.99... for two 100ml bottles of eau de toilette. Zara keep impressing me so much with these duo, I can't rave enough.

Skinny Minnies Supplements

So on my journey to getting my body back after the return to uni binge, I thought it would be the perfect time to try a diet supplement meal plan. After reading up on a few different types of dietary supplements including Juice Plus and Celebrity Slim I opted for SkinnyMinnies Supplements Meal Time shakes. All the reviews for this product were good and everyone said how yummy they tasted,  so I thought I      should give them a try. I ordered myself their £20 7 day trial, which comes equipped with 14 shakes of your choice and a shaker. I opted for 7 of my favorite ice-cream flavor, choc-mint and also 7 choc-orange shakes too.  I received a lot of questions about these shakes on instagram and twitter so read here exactly what I thought.

Tarte's Lights, Cameras, Lashes Mascara

Every girl knows the struggle to find the perfect mascara is all too real. You need voulme, pigment, curl and length in one magic bottle. It can't bankrupt you but you can't deal with a terrible brush that constantly clumps. No turning your lashes into spider legs or leaving you with panda eyes after a few hours. Talk about a mission to find the holy grail! I've tried everything from drugstore products to highend designer brands, YSL to Collection 2000 and yet not a single product I would swear by. Until now...

Now my Mother is a bit of a QVC addict, which means she finds some great beauty buys for me. QVC have recently started stocking Tarte, a American beauty brand which uses 'high-performance naturals' in order to create a 'pure, powerful cosmetics.' Ive bought a handful of Tarte products before whilst on holiday in the US and the products have always been pretty good. Then one lazy day over the summer I was watching the beauty hour on QVC with my mum, a bit lame I know. This special featured Tarte and this is when I spied their new mascara Lights, Camera, Lashes. I was left in awe at on the onscreen demonstration. It genuinely looked like the model had applied false lashes but I watched her use this stuff so know she didn't. I just had to get my hands on this stuff straight away and that's exactly what I did. All I can say is... this mascara is a game changer!

Zara Woman Eau De Toilette Box Set

Now a cheap but amazing smelling perfume is hard to come by... Usually you're lucky to spend around £40 for a lovely scent but most of the time your paying for a brand rather than the potent liquid within the bottle. Well what if I could tell that there's two perfumes out there retailing for £12 in total! Two different scents, two 100ml bottles and one is a fanatic dupe for a designer perfume. Zara have really treated us with this little boz set, wow.

Bootea Teatox

With summer fast approaching I'm sure I am not the only one trying to shift those extra pounds in time for swimsuit season. I've just booked myself a cheeky 10 days in Salou and Barcelona and I'm booking my family holiday in the coming weeks so I though this would be the perfect time to repurchase the newest fad in weight loss aid, a teatox. Earlier this year after doing my research and seeing numerous teas available on the market I decided to try BooTea, a Uk based 14/28 day teatox company. They use natural ingredients such as dandelion root, gotu kola leaves and psyllium seeds in order to create 100% natural health supplement that promote a healthy and balance lifestyle. Their teas contain a mixture of natural health and weight loss ingredients to help shed the pounds without drastically restricting calorie intake like other types of detoxs do. If you follow me on instagram or twitter you know I'm obsessed with Bootea, This is my third repurchase so have a look below to see exactly what I love about this product.

FIT Me Foundation from Maybelline

I have been dying to try Maybeline's FIT me foundation for months now after seeing it advertised everywhere and I finally managed to get my hands on it. I had to swatch my colour for a while but finally worked out that I was 120 classic ivory. One thing I love about this foundation is that like a Mac/Nars foundation it comes in a wide range of shades with undertone colouring in mind so it can accommodate to both those with pink and yellow colouration. I would be very surprised if you were to try this foundation and not get a good colour match since the shading range is so diverse. Before my first use I had a look about online and read what others thought of the product, and I was shocked to see mostly negative reviews! Had I just wasted my £7.99? Well being me, I am never one to make a judgement based on what others think so I tried it out and it didn't let me down.

Motel Robyn In Gothic Placement

So as some of you may know next month is a pretty big month for me, along with UCAS applications and  open days at london universities it will also be my 18th Birthday! Yes you read right, I will be officially legal to do everything from buying alcohol to kitchen knifes to voting in the general elections (the politics student side of me is far too excited for this, not going to lie). Unfortunately for the first time in my 17 years of life, my Birthday falls during term time rather than the usual October half term holidays which means making plans were rather more difficult than I first planned but now I have sorted it all out. On Thursday the 25th my actual Birthday I will be going to college, attending parents evening and then go for a lovely meal with my family. Then on the Saturday I will be out and about in Leeds making the most of my own ID and enjoying the halloween activities that will be on offer that weekend. But I'm possibly most excited for the Friday night. I have rented out a local venue and I'm having a party with all my loved ones and of course this required a new dress!

Benefit's High Beam

If you know me or have even just seen a photo of me then you'll know how important cheekbones are too my look, the amount of time I spend contouring to achieve good cheek bones is silly. I wish I was bless with extremely strong cheekbones but sadly this isn't the case, damn you chipmunk cheeks.  Sadly theres nothing you can do about that is there... wait is there? Well in this day and age of course there is and it comes from the wonder workers at Benefit. You may have heard of this miracle product, that I and many others swear by called well High Beam!
